EV Startup Bijliride Expands Franchise Network, Targets 50 Partners Across India to Power Last-Mile Logistics
Bijliride is expanding its franchise network with a target of 50 partners across India.

Electric vehicle (EV) mobility and lifecycle management startup Bijliride has announced a major expansion of its decentralized franchise network, scaling up to 20 active partners with a target to reach 50 franchise locations across India by the end of Q3.
The expansion is strategically designed to capitalize on the rapidly growing demand for commercial EV fleets, particularly among gig workers, e-commerce giants, and last-mile delivery operators. Currently, the company’s operations are heavily concentrated in major micro-mobility hubs like Hyderabad and Pune, where it manages a robust ecosystem of over 4,000 electric vehicles.
Driving Growth via the FOFO Model
Bijliride’s expansion relies primarily on the Franchise-Owned, Franchise-Operated (FOFO) business model. Under this framework, local franchise partners establish and manage physical EV mobility hubs. In return, Bijliride provides comprehensive backend support, including its proprietary Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) suite, advanced fleet tracking analytics, and specialized battery management systems.
This model allows local entrepreneurs to manage daily operations, driver onboarding, and ground-level logistics, while Bijliride maintains technological oversight to ensure optimal asset utilization and reduced vehicle downtime.
Piloting the Master Franchise Framework
To accelerate its operational footprint, the startup has finalized an additional 20 franchise partnerships that are currently in the closing pipeline. The next phase of the rollout will heavily target high-growth commercial corridors across Northern and Western India.
As part of this regional strategy, Bijliride is piloting a Master Franchise Model in key states, including Rajasthan and Maharashtra. Under this structure, regional master franchisees will oversee larger territories, managing multiple local hubs to streamline supply chains and vehicle distribution across state lines.
Market Outlook
By combining localized entrepreneurship with central data analytics, Bijliride aims to bridge the infrastructure gap in the Indian commercial EV space. The company's immediate focus remains on onboarding the next 30 partners to hit its Q3 target, securing a stronger foothold in the competitive Indian third-party logistics (3PL) and green mobility sectors.
