First Step into Mexico

JD Sports Fashion plc has announced a long-term franchise partnership with Grupo Axo, S.A.P.I de C.V., Mexico's leading multi-brand omni-channel retail distributor, to launch the JD brand in Mexico.

Commencing in 2027, Axo will operate more than 140 JD premises, including stores and e-commerce, leveraging its existing retail footprint alongside JD's brand, intellectual property and own-brand product portfolio across footwear, apparel and accessories.

Strategic Fit

JD's entry into Mexico builds on its established presence in the US and Canada, and forms part of the Group's 'JD Brand First' strategy and ambition to become the leading global sports fashion destination. Mexico's activewear market — valued at approximately USD 6.5 billion with a young consumer demographic — was cited as a key attraction.
